I know it sounds strange, but we had our Holiday Party after the holidays. We got together at Stephanie's house and this is how she decorates her 12 foot tree- with a fishing pole of course.

2008
I find it hard to believe that that a New Year has begun already! I am working on getting the house cleaned up and out. Several trips have been made to DI and with Nycole moving out tomorrow, I have another big pile to go. Maybe someday I will get finished- but do you ever get organized or just work at being organized. A very zen question.

Nycole is Home
We are so excited to have Nycole home from her mission in Anaheim California.
The family tradition of a cardboard cut out at the airport was continued, and we thought Minnie Missionary would be appropriate. Life is good at the Tylka home.

Nashville
I am visiting Nashville for a work assignment, and got to stop by a civil war battle site in Franklin, Tn. Here is a building that has been certified as the most damaged building still standing from the civil war. The holes in the siding are from the balls from guns. The battle wasn't that famous, but it is kinda cool.
The temple is just over the hill from where I am going to meetings, and we drove by yesterday. No time to visit though.

The haze has moved on
The snow last week finally got rid of all the inversion. The air is clear, and I love the sun. No depressing pictures of all the gray. Thankfully. We are having a little game night tonight. No superbowl, but a little scrabble and not nearly as much physical contact. Korbin is having a great time with the plastic bowls. Glad to have a few things at Grandma's house that are fun.
